Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9)
Key Stage 3
At SKILLS, Key Stage 3 is designed for learners at the ages of 11 to 14. It is designed to develop the student’s fluency in English, competency in Mathematics and Science. Our students learn how to be effective learners in their classrooms, and an influential member of the communities they interact with. The programme develop their ability to communicate confidently with the various media and information they interact with.
Cambridge Secondary 1 develops skills and understanding in English, mathematics and science for the first three years of secondary education. It combines a world-class curriculum, high-quality support for teachers and integrated assessment.
Our curriculum frameworks for English also include an 'English as a second language' option.
This curriculum framework covers four content areas: scientific inquiry, biology, chemistry and physics. Scientific inquiry is about considering ideas, evaluating evidence, planning investigative work, and recording and analyzing data. The scientific inquiry objectives underpin biology, chemistry and physics, which are focused on developing confidence and interest in scientific knowledge. Environmental awareness and some history of science are also part of the curriculum. They also take the subjects endorsed by the Egyptian Ministry of education.
